7 Months Old

It's hard to believe that my baby is now closer to being a one year old than being a newborn!  People weren't joking when they said babies grow up fast.  Now I understand why parents are anxious to have another one.  (No, I am not there yet!)

This month was a big one and again my favorite stage so far.  She is really becoming so interactive and loves to smile & laugh at us.  She makes this sweetest sound like "Haaaa Haaaa" in a high pitch voice.  Maggie is even starting to mimic us.  I absolutely LOVE seeing her little personality develop.
Her bottom two teeth broke through at the same time this past month.  It really wasn't bad at all.  In fact, I didn't even know they were coming in until I just saw them one day!  I guess this teething necklace really works.  ;)  She has also become somewhat mobile.  She will move all around her play mat by either turning in circles or pushing herself backwards.  Mag's will push herself backward all over our living room.  She still hasn't quite figured out how to go forward yet, but she's getting really close.  I am so not ready to start chasing her around the house or baby proofing everything.  Ha!  Oh, and her hair is finally starting to fill in on the back of her head.  So hopefully she won't look like she's wearing a toupee much longer.  ;) Wear did my little baby go?!

I am really enjoying spending my days with this little girl.  Looking forward to so many more!

I could not get her to smile this month.  She was way too distracted by everything around her.  Plus, she had a little bit of a runny nose.  Luckily, (knock on wood) she has not had a full blown cold yet!

Blank stare

There we go.

Very interested in the bunny this month.

I just love her little profile.  I hope it doesn't change!

Her favorite thing to do...

Here are just a few snapshots from this past month.  Most of the time I just take pictures on instagram.
My favorite bath towel.

Playing around with my camera settings.  I need to get better at it!

This past weekend Ryan & I went to a Chiefs game, so of course I had to dress these two alike!

Maggie is so lucky to have him for her daddy.

Visiting Maggie's Great Grandmother and hanging out with cousin Kathy.

Here's a little video of Maggie's famous screeches.  Half way through I couldn't stop myself from laughing, and I totally startled her which made me laugh even harder.  She startles pretty easily.  LOVE this girl!!

Can't get enough of her.

6 Month Photo Session

I had such a hard time narrowing down Maggie's 6 month photos for the blog, and I am still overloading you.  Ha!  I know that a lot of people have a photo session for their baby every 3 months but time just got away from me.  I'm lucky that I even squeezed in 6 months.  :)  But I am SO glad that I did.  The pictures turned out so fabulous, and we will cherish these forever.  Our amazing photographer Allison Corrin Photography gave us the most beautiful photos.  She is so talented, super easy to work with and great with babies (she has 3 of her own and one on the way!).  I also knew her from college.  So if you live in the Kansas City area, check her out!

Side note: I was really worried that Maggie would not cooperate because she didn't nap well that day and had not gone #2 in 4 days.  Sheesh!  She didn't have a melt down but we also didn't get our normal Maggie smiles.  That's ok though, because they still turned out really sweet.

I will just let the photos do the talking.

This outfit is from when I was a baby.  I thought it would be so sweet for her to wear it too.  (I've posted more "vintage" outfits from when I was a baby on my instagram.)  Can we please bring bonnets back?

Squishy babies are the best!

I am so, so happy with these!  I'm already thinking of ideas for her 1 year photo shoot.  I'm saving my absolute favorite picture for our Christmas cards.  You will just have to wait and see! ;)

Second Zoo Down!

This past weekend was another fun one for the books!  Nana (my mom) came to visit us and at the last minute we decided to make a quick trip to the Wichita Zoo on Sunday.  Meme, Grandpa, Auntie Em, Great Uncle Alan & Great Aunt Linda all met us there.  It was absolutely the perfect day!

Meme & Grandpa teaching Maggie how to ride her first horse. ;)

Great Uncle Alan showing Mags the penguins.

Great Uncle Alan & Aunt Linda

These tortoises were so neat.  I told Ryan we needed to have one in our backyard.  They were about 65 years old!

G. Aunt Linda, Auntie Em & Meme mimicking the bears.

Did I mention is was the perfect weather??

Love this picture.  You can kind of see Maggie's dimple here.

Grandpa had the best time carting Maggie and her little bear ears all around.

Nana's turn for a picture with Maggie.  Ha!

Little family pic.

I can't get over Maggie's face in this one.  She was in the BEST mood!  I guess we need to take her to the zoo more often!

Maggie checking out another "baby".

This was definitely her favorite spot!

Doing the "flamingo" with Auntie Em.

Group pic!

We seriously had so much fun.  I was worried that Maggie would have a melt down since she didn't really nap much that day but she did great.  I think she's moving towards dropping that third nap.  Especially on days that we have a lot of activities going on.

I will be posting Maggie's 6 months photo's next!
