First Bath

How many people does it take to bathe a newborn?
Apparently it takes us 4!  Susan was taking the pictures but she put down the camera at one point to help.  The first bath was definitely stressful.  Ha!

It started out pretty good.  I think this girl likes to be naked.

Still can't believe Ryan & I made this little girl.

This was when it started to go down hill...

The paci came out and we tried to move fast.

I never knew how hard it would be to clean a baby.  They are so wiggly!

She loves to get her hair washed or at least have her head under the faucet.

The towel's still a little big for her.

Since then we've gotten a little better at it.  We actually ended up getting a bigger bathtub to fit in our kitchen sink so we'd have more room.  (We got this one.)  Maggie seems to like to soak in the warm water so we are having some fun at bath time now.  Baby steps!

  1. Love Ryan in the pink glove. We have pictures of a screaming baby during her first bath too. Glad to hear she seems to be liking it more now though. Such a beauty!

  3. Aww, Maggie is so cute! It's can definitely be overwhelming in the beginning (everything from baths to...well everything!). You are doing a great job, Lindsey! You are a wonderful Mama with a precious daughter.

I'm glad things are going well. I had a hard time adjusting when Greta was born and felt so much better when my close friends told me I was normal and a good Mama. However you are feeling in these first months, good, tired or otherwise is perfectly normal. This is big time work! Especially with little sleep. Have a wonderful day, Mama! I'm so proud of you!

  6. We have that puj tub too. We love it! We've used it to give Mason a bath in the kitchen sink ever since he was born. We still use it sometimes...even though he is way too big now!
