Finally!! I can reveal our finished nursery for Maggie. It's been a long time coming. :) It took forever just to get started because we couldn't decide on a design or colors. Click here to see what we started with and some of the earlier progress. Ryan & I finally decided on light grey walls with pops of various shades of pink through out. I had to reign Ryan back from going pink overload! (You think I'm kidding.) :)
Let's get started with the long awaited tour and resource list.
The view as you enter the room.
Another angle. The major things done here were painting the walls, creating the picture box molding under the chair rail and replacing the overhead fan with a more modern one. The light fixture is actually from Lowe's, and we got it on sale for $25!

Maggie Letters - Gift from Cousin
I was trying to hang these letters in the nursery some where but they wouldn't stick to my textured walls! So I thought they spiced up the closet on the side of the wooden shelf. I'm pretty sure the closet door will always be open so I can see them all the time!
I absolutely love this closet. Sometimes I just stand in here for what seems like forever.
Can't wait to start dressing Maggie up!
It was hard to capture a picture of the shelf but you get the idea. I love how it looks so organized now but know that it will be a disaster once Maggie arrives especially when she's old enough to rip things off the shelf. Ha!
Well, I think that pretty much concludes the nursery tour. Hope you guys enjoyed it! I can't wait to spend all my time in here with my little girl. Sometimes when I'm feeling anxious I will just go stand in the room and think about her being here & in my arms.

I knew you wouldn't disappoint with the nursery but WOW is it amazing!! I of course love the grey and pink, and I think the dresser turned out perfect. The dresser we redid is my favorite piece in Chloe's nursery too. That girl has some clothes!! It's going to be so hard picking out which cute outfit to put her in each day. I love everything about this room, now all you need is Maggie! :)

ReplyDeleteI am one proud MIL! You get an A+ in nursery organization and decorating! In my amazement of the space I realized I get to play with all that stuff too!!! And clean it up! Yikes! Hee! I do think you should enter it too while it is perfect looking-especially the dresser!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! This is absolutely gorgeous & Pinterest worthy!!!! I love everything about it! We have the same sheets and changing pad cover from Carousel Designs (but mine are gray polka dots)...and the same owl that's in the little chair! Love, love, love! : )
ReplyDeleteRachel directed me to your blog, and I am impressed. Talk about attention to detail!!! I love the chevron sheets, the fingerprint tree, the pom mobile, and the you-are-my-sunshine print. Your sense of balance is terrific. I also love the mixture of styles--the modern crib, the traditional rocking chair, and the repurposed antique dresser. Well done! You may like to see the blog post I am doing next (hopefully this week) on Rachel and her sister-in-law's nurseries. Stop by: GraciousInteriors.blogspot.com.

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely adorable!
ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful nursery! i love everything about it!! i'm 24 weeks pregnant and just starting working on our nursery for our girl. I just stand in there and stare at her crib or at the few clothes in her closet and it makes me SOOO happy!!
ReplyDeleteI love your nursery!!!! What name brand is the paint and color of the walls. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteDo you mind sharing the paint color and brand on the walls in the nursery? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHello! Sorry this has taken me so long to respond to you. I was trying to track down the name of the paint. Unfortunately, I have not been able to locate it. We originally painted the room "Owl Grey" but it turned out a little too blue. So we went back to our local Sherwin William's store, and they gave us a free gallon of paint. Since it was free they did not record the color in their system for our account. And I can not find the can of paint for the life of me! I do know that they said it needed to have a brown tint to it to really get the "grey" look or else it would turn out too blue/green. We used their Emerald Interior paint. I might try and have it color matched at some point and will let you know if we do!
DeleteThis room is absolutely amazing! I found you through pinterest and you totally inspired my daughters room! I had a question about how you got such great lighting for your room reveal pictures, is it just the right time of day in that room or did you use bounce a flash off the ceiling. The pictured came out so well!
ReplyDeleteI found your blog on Pinterest and (I know this is an older post) this room is beautiful!! You did such a great job! Do you like the fur anywhere chair? I love the look of it, but didn't know if it 'shed' or anything else annoying - haha. And that silver shelf is so unique - I love it!
ReplyDeleteThank you Kelley! We LOVE the fur anywhere chair. Maggie is 18 months old and it's her favorite thing. She's always climbing and sprawled over it. It's held up really well and it definitely doesn't shed. I highly recommend it! :)
