Show Us Where You Live Friday - THE OFFICE

I'm back again for another addition on Kelly's Korner "Show Us Where You Live Friday". The room being shown this week is the office. Of course, like I always say, it's a work in progress.

Our study is on the second floor of our house and it is an open room with no door. This is the view walking into the office.
Then you turn right and see where I spend my time blogging. It looks really cluttered in this picture. I don't think it's as bad in person but we definitely need some organization. We are on the hunt for some cute boxes or folders to store things in.
A closer look at the desk. We bought it a Pier 1 when we first got married along with the bookshelves. When you turn right again you will see my grandmother's piano that was given to me when she moved out of her house. It needs a bigger room to really show it off. I used to play on it when I was a little girl. I have a picture of that on top of the piano. This is also the look out over the stairs and entryway. You can see the hallway to the right that leads to the guest bedrooms.
We bought this mask on our honeymoon in Mexico. Eventually, we are going to try and achieve a travel (African?) theme in our study. Getting there slowly but surely. I would like to by a memento from every place we travel to and put it in this room.
Then you turn back around to face the other side of the room where you can lounge. You can see Yogi's blanket that he likes to cuddle with laying on the love seat.
That's it for now folks! I would love your comments/feedback and any suggestions you may have (especially for organization to hide clutter).

  1. I think you're off to a great start!! Maybe you'd consider adding a shelf or two above the desk or couch to highlight some of the "non-working" items, which would also free up valuable desktop space. Just my 2 cents, and only because you asked!! Good luck!!
