Bump Watch :: 22 Weeks

22 Weeks

How far along: 22 weeks

Size of Baby: 11 in & 1 lb!

Fruit/vegetable comparison: Spaghetti Squash

Total weight gain: 6 pounds (The baby is one whole pound of that!)

Sleep: Still pretty good.  Sometimes it's hard for me to fall asleep because my mind is racing with everything I need to get done.

Movement: Ryan felt her this week!!  I think she was just rolling around so he just felt the movement & not a big kick or anything.  Hopefully he'll catch a kick sometime soon.

Unglamorous body changes: So I totally had a day this week when I noticed after I got home from work that I had... CANKLES!!!  What?!?!  How do I have these this soon??  I think I had been sitting & crossing my legs for most of the day.  Plus I don't think I drank enough water either.  So I've made sure to down more water and try to get up more during the day.  I've also been trying to elevate my legs on my trash can under my desk. Ha!  It seems to be working because I haven't noticed swollen ankles again!

Maternity Clothes? Yes, I think I'm going to drop this question going forward because there's not much to talk about here anymore.  It's the same answer!

Showing: Yes, but sometimes I still don't feel pregnant.  I just feel like I have a really fat gut.  My belly button is getting more shallow though!  That freaked me out the other day.  :)

Food cravings: I swear my husband is having way more cravings then I am!  Out of no where on Sunday he decided to make ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans, bread and home made chocolate, peanut butter cookies!!  I didn't even realize I was craving that food but as soon as I smelled it I had to have it.  I don't think I've eaten so much food in one sitting before.  That could be why I'm starting to pack on the weight!

What I miss: I miss shirts that used to be long enough to wear!  Those days are over. (Can I say that I miss the fall weather too??)

Milestones: Now that she's got more developed eyes and lips, she's looking even more like a newborn.  She's sleeping in cycles -- about 12 to 14 hours per day.  (per thebump.com)

Best moment this week: Realizing she's hit the 1 pound mark, and Ryan feeling her for the first time!

Looking forward to: Still trying to figure out her name and getting started on the nursery.  We have so many ideas floating around about how we want to design the nursery that we can't pick!  Thank goodness for Pinterest!

  2. Your lil babe looks so cute! LOVE! WELLLLLLLLL, you wouldn't HAVE to wear maternity clothing. I saw a lady at Old Navy wearing a shirt and she just let it roll up and tucked it inbetween her breasts and belly. It was awesome. It was stylish.
