It's Official!

We are officially moving!!! I finally get to tell everyone and their brother. Ryan & I have known for awhile now that this move was going to happen but just didn't know when. Let's just say I've been pretty stressed knowing we were moving but not knowing when. My stress may or may not have caused me to have crazy dreams like blow up plastic penguins falling from the sky landing in front of my car on the highway... I'm just saying... 4 moves in 4 years....

When we got to tell our parents, we did it over skype and sent them the photo's below. I photo shopped ourselves into pictures to give them clues. The first clue was to tell them that we were moving. Pretty clever, huh?

I bet you are all dying to know where we are moving... Well, can you guess from the picture below that we sent our family?
If you aren't familiar with the city you may not know. But we are moving back to our home town of Kansas City!!!!! AHHHH!!! Seriously, this is a miracle in it's self. Ryan was offered a promotion to move to Kansas City with ConocoPhillips, and he gets to work from home (I'm so jealous). He will have to travel but not too many over nighters, thank goodness! His territory size is fairly substantial so I'm hoping I can go with him on a few business trips, like Chicago! KC is definitely not a normal place for COP to be sending their employees, so it's a once in a million chance that this could happen. There were so many things that had to fall into place for this, and they did. :)
I know without a shadow of a doubt that God's divine plan was all over this one. It's amazing to feel/know that God's plan is way better then our own, and that He has something awesome in store for us there. We are ecstatic to be moving back to family and old friends. However, we have made some really great friends in Houston and it's going to be really hard to leave them (and the nice warm winters). It's definitely been an emotional roller coaster for Ryan & I. There are so many things that need to get done between now and when we move.
If you want to shoot up a prayer for the transition to go as smoothly as possible, that would be amazing. We need to sell our house, buy a new one, and I need to find a new job. I'm really going to miss working with some great people and leaving one incredible company. I know this move and Ryan's knew job is for the greater good so it's totally worth it. I'm just praying God has the perfect job for me when I get there.

Our tentative move date is August 1st depending on when we sell our house, and when Ryan needs to be on location. After over 4 long years of being away from family, we are coming home!

  8. congrats!!! what exciting news. i'm so happy for you guys.

about the car question, we have a chrysler aspen. i've heard they stopped making them this year, but not sure. i love the size and the the 3rd row seats fold flat so i always have them available, but plenty of cargo space for dogs, strollers, whatever. i can't make the leap to the minivan and will hold out as long as possible :)

GOOD LUCK with the move!!!! Kriya
