Exciting News from Sedona, Arizona!

There was actually a major reason why we all decided to take a Hot Air Balloon ride, besides the fact that it would just be a ton of fun. Mark had come to Ryan & I awhile back to let us know that he had been planning something really special for his girl friend, Brittney. He had a lot of ideas and ended up deciding on taking her on a Hot Air Balloon. Mark wanted Ryan & I and Brittney's sister, Chelsea, there too because.... He was going to pop the question!! AHHH!!
We were so honored that he wanted us there to share in this amazing moment. Chels & I were there to take as many pictures as possible. I think we accomplished that. :) Here's the exciting play by play.

About half way through our ride, Mark felt like it was the perfect moment. He reached over to take Brittney's glove off as he told her how much she meant to him.
Then he asked the big question, "Will you marry me?".
Her answer was.... "YES!!".
The ring fits!
How amazing is that to get engaged on a Hot Air Balloon in Sedona, Arizona surrounded by good friends and your sister?? Mark's such a good guy. :) I think he's a keeper.
The b-e-a-utiful ring! He done good. :)
Admiring the bling bling.
One happy couple!
I can't wait for their wedding. Brittney will make such a gorgeous bride and Mark a handsome groom.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the trip and talking about the engagement. Brittney could not believe we all knew about it for so long and nobody slipped up!
The rest of our friends were back at the house anxiously awaiting our return to hear about the engagement.
(The balloon dropped so low sometimes it almost hit trees!)
Enjoying the scenery and the gorgeous day.
I love this pic of Chels.
Absolutely glowing...
Look how low we are!!
The landing was smooth... thank goodness! Here's Ryan hopping out of the basket.
This is an example of a guy helping a balloon land. He uses his weight so the basket doesn't tip over.
Yay!! Mark & Brittney are getting MARRIED!!
Good ol' Doug and his crew putting up the balloon.
The group had to get a photo with the legend, Doug.
Of course, I wanted one on my own. He was the best!
Afterward, the served us breakfast and orange juice. It was actually pretty good.

One of the guys that worked for the Balloon company gave a pretty good toast. Click the video below. He might have mentioned something that happened that morning. :)

So much more to come. I'm trying to post these as fast as I can. I just have so many pictures and things to talk about!

  8. Wow, that is so romantic. I thought that was only in fairy tales. He really is a keeper to do something so special.

So was the ballon ride scary? I have wanted to do that but been scared to do it. We thouht about doing something like that near Mt Rushmore but didn't think Carson would handle it to well.
