Farm Life

I am really looking forward to spending a few days with our family over the holiday. Part of our time will be spent on the Ebright family farm in Lyons, KS. I always get so excited to go there because I love the small town atmosphere. It is so different from how I grew up. I also love that you can just relax, have home cooked meals, everybody knows each other and there's always time for family games.

Ryan's dad, Harlan, farms mainly wheat but also corn, soybeans and milo. He farms a TON of acres, and I have no clue how he does it. I think Ryan really misses helping his dad out. He's always speaking farm lingo and it's actually pretty interesting! Ryan was just talking about getting a rain gauge for our house. I didn't know people have those! Always time to play some good old frisbee. Annie, the family dog, is in the background. She really misses Ryan and will hog all his time at the farm.
Harlan, showing of his frisbee skills. Farm boys are always multi-talented. :)One of things I always look forward to when visiting are the new kittens! They are just so stinkin' cute. I took this picture last time we were there through the window and screen. I will have lots to update you on in the coming days. Stay tuned.
